1. What is Home Health Care?
Home health care helps seniors live independently for as long as possible, given the limits of their
medical condition. It covers a wide range of services and can often delay the need for long-term nursing
home care.
2. Who pays for home care services?
We accept Long Term Care Insurance, Auto Insurance and Workers Compensation claims; however payment
can be made privately by the client or family member on a weekly or monthly basis.
3. How soon can we receive assistance?
We can start usually within 24 hours after your In Home RN Assessment. The more time we have the
better able we can provide a good match for you. In emergency situations we may be able to provide care
same day!
4. Are caregivers available 24 hours per day, 7 days a week?
Our services are available 24 hours per day, 7 days a week. You can arrange for care from just a few hours
per day up to 24 hours. In addition you will receive an answer to your call within 10 minutes by either
Barbara or Kevin. We are available to answer any questions you may have in regards to your care or
services.
5. Will you come to the Hospital or Nursing Home to do your Assessment?
Absolutely! As soon as you know that you may need In Home Care, you can contact us so when it is
time for your loved one to come home everything will be in place for a smooth transition.
6. Are your caregivers employees of Lincoln Home Care or are they independent
contractors?
Our caregivers are employees, not independent contractors. They are all Bonded and Insured. Lincoln
Home Care, Inc. pays all required state and federal taxes as well as employer social security taxes. In
addition they are covered under our Workers’ Compensation Policy.
7. Can we meet the caregiver in advance?
Yes, after our assessment we will match your case with one of our caregivers and provide an
opportunity for you to meet prior your starting the service.
